This custom made oversize chess set was made to exact specifications for Pat and John Vannelli, formerly of Houston, TX and now of Chicago, IL. The materials are Gabon Ebony and Tiger maple and have been turned and carved. The pieces range in size from 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" for the Pawn to 6" x 1 3/4" for the Kings with all other pieces being proportional. All pieces are the same weight for a pleasurable feel and have Royal Green Felt on their bottoms. A beautiful, one of a kind set patterned after a 17th Century French Design. |
