Quiet Elegance Woodturning
Most of the products you will see displayed are made from local woods that have been harvested by David Schneider. Some are made from exotic woods that have come from managed care forests that have the protection of our environment as their primary concern.
All items have been hand turned on a wood lathe, hand finished and in most cases, hand rubbed. Most of the hanging items (birdhouses, ornaments) are made from multiple parts. (i.e. body, top, finial, acorn, perch). As you can see there has been much attention to design and workmanship and as the intricacy of a piece increases so does the value. Great care is taken in the handwork and craftsmanship that is required in the creation of all works on this site. All hanging ornaments and hanging bird houses are hollowed out to minimize their weight and maximize their value as a treasure that can be passed down to future generations.
